SIOLIM MLA DELILAH LOBO LEADS FINAL INSPECTION OF CHAPORA JETTY; PROJECT READY FOR FISHERMEN
Siolim: The final inspection of the Chapora Jetty was conducted today ahead of its commissioning for the fishing community. The inspection was conducted in the presence of Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, Sarpanch of Anjuna-Caisua VP Surendra Govekar, Panch Members of VP Anjuna-Caisua, officials from the Fisheries Department and project contractors. The team reviewed the completed works and inspected all facilities to ensure the project meets required quality and safety standards.


The jetty has been developed to cater to the long-standing demand of the local fishing fraternity and to provide them with safe berthing and allied facilities. On this occasion, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo stated that the jetty will be a major support for the fishermen of Chapora, Anjuna and Siolim and will strengthen the local fishing economy. The Fisheries Department has been directed to complete the final formalities so that the jetty can be inaugurated and dedicated to the public at the earliest.
