Goa earmarks Rs 2 cr to attract international charter flights this winter
PANAJI: (Oct 4) The Goa government has allocated Rs 2 crore to incentivise international charter flights as part of efforts to boost foreign tourist arrivals during the upcoming winter season, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said on Sunday.
The initiative aims to encourage charter operators to expand flight schedules to Goa, with new and increased connections from Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, and the UK expected to start this November, he said.
“For us, every new flight means opportunities for local businesses and communities,” the minister said in a video statement without elaborating on the incentive scheme
