Siolim MLA lights up Assagao, inaugurates high-mast pole for public safety

Siolim : In a boost to public safety and night-time visibility, the newly installed 4-arm high-mast lighting pole near Assagao Panchayat was inaugurated on Wednesday by Siolim MLA.

The MLA was joined by Sarpanch Hanumant Naik, panchayat members and local residents at the inauguration ceremony. The new high-mast light will significantly improve illumination in the area, which is used daily by residents and commuters, and is expected to enhance safety, especially during evening hours.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that small but important infrastructure improvements like these go a long way in making villages safer, brighter and more convenient for everyone.

Sarpanch Hanumant Naik thanked the MLA for sanctioning the project and said the panchayat had been receiving demands for better lighting at the junction. Locals present also welcomed the initiative and said the light will help prevent accidents and deter anti-social activity. The installation is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade basic civic infrastructure in the Siolim constituency.
