Minister Phal Dessai inaugurates 3-day Matoli Bazaar in Quepem, celebrates SHG entrepreneurship
QUepem: The 3-day Annual Matoli Bazaar 2026 was inaugurated by Minister for Social Welfare, Shri. Subhash Phal Dessai , in the distinguished presence of Quepem MLA, Shri. Altone D’costa, near the New Quepem Municipal Market Building.
Organised by the Atal Gram Development Agency, Goa, the bazaar brings together Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and local entrepreneurs from across Quepem Taluka, comprising 11 Village Panchayats and one Municipal Council. From traditional Matoli produce to locally crafted products, the bazaar is a vibrant celebration of Goa’s rich cultural heritage, grassroots entrepreneurship and the spirit of self-reliance.
