Mystery shrouds Karnataka tourist’s death in Baga hotel room
Calangute : Mystery shrouds the death of a tourist zakeer Khan from, a resident of Harihar in Davangere district, Karnataka who died after slipping over his own vomit in a hotel room in Baga.
According to the police officer investigating the case the deceased had consumed liquor along with his friends before vomitting. When returned to his hotel room in drunken state he allegedly vomitted on the floor of the hotel room and allegedly slipped over his own vomitting and fell from the nose and sustained serious injuries and started bleeding from the nose.
He then cleaned the vomitting and the blood stains from the floor and went to sleep.
Later on when his friends tried to contact him, there was no respons, so they summoned the ambulance. He was shifted to the near by Primary Health Centre at Candolim. The doctors at the PHC pronounced brought dead for the treatment.
However, the body was shifted to the Goa Medical College at Bambolim for completing medico legal formalities and preservation. Calangute police have registered an unnatural death case under section 194 of BNSS. Further investigation is in progress.
