Mapusa Fire Services Respond to Two Tree-Fall Incidents in Cuchelim & Mapusa Mapusa :

Mapusa: Mapusa Fire Services, led by Shri Vishnu Kesarkar, Fire Fighter, attended to two separate tree-fall incidents on Monday, amid ongoing monsoon weather. The first call was received at 12:23 HRS. A tree had fallen on a house at Dr. Prabhu Desai’s residence in Cuchelim.

Fire personnel rushed to the spot and worked to remove the tree to prevent further damage to the property and ensure the safety of the occupants. Later, at 13:37 HRS, a coconut tree fell across the road near Old Asilo, Mapusa, blocking traffic. The fire team was pressed into service to cut and clear the fallen tree, restoring movement for motorists. No casualties were reported in either incident. Officials said the prompt response helped minimise damage and disruption. With heavy winds and rain continuing, Fire Services have urged residents to report any hazardous trees or branches at the earliest.
