World Environment Day: Goa CM launches drive to plant 10 lakh trees in 90 days
PANAJI: (Jun 5) Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday launched a 90-day drive to plant 10 lakh trees as part of the ‘Clean Goa, Green Goa’ initiative.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Sawant started the drive from Patradevi village on the border with Maharashtra.
“Climate change is real and it is the time to reverse it. Ideally, by June 5 we should expect heavy rains with the monsoon setting in. But the monsoon is delayed. We know the reason,” he said.
