Fire Services avert a Major disaster to a family after wild Jungle Tree Crashes into their house at Assagao

Mapusa : A jungle tree fell on a house near El-Shadai School in Vilan, Assagaon at 11:58 AM today, damaging the structure and blocking access.

Mapusa Fire Station responded immediately to the distress call. The rescue operation was led by Leading Firefighter Shri Suraj Shethgaonkar along with the firefighting team.Fire personnel used cutting equipment to dismantle and remove the large tree branches that had crashed onto the roof. The team cleared the debris to make the house safe and restored access for the residents. Officials confirmed that the operation was carried out without any casualties.The fire department assessed the site post-clearance and advised residents on safety precautions during the monsoon season when such incidents are more common.
