EVENING SPORTS GET BOOST AS SALIGAO MLA SWITCHES ON HIGH MAST LIGHTS AT BETIM
Saligao: The long-awaited 20-metre high mast lights at Betim Sports Ground, Reis Magos, were inaugurated on Tuesday by the Saligao MLA.
The facility was commissioned in the presence of Reis Magos Sarpanch Smt. Sushmita Pednekar, North Goa ZP President Smt. Reshma Bandodkar, BJP Saligao Adhyaksh Gauresh Madkaikar, Penha de França Dy. Sarpanch Deepali Gurunath Vernekar, panch members Prassana Nagvekar and Gauri Pednekar, BJP General Secretary Premanand Malik, Betim Sports Club Secretary Sunil Arlekar, Ex-Panch Suraj Chodankar, and local residents.
The high mast lights are expected to enable safe evening walks and extend hours for sports and recreational activities at the ground. Locals said the move will benefit youth and senior citizens alike, promoting fitness and better use of public infrastructure in the constituency.
