Mapusa MLA Joshua Leads Revamp of Mhapshekars’ Faith Centre: Foundation Laid for Bodgeshwar Temple Beautification
MAPUSA: The most cherished spiritual landmark of Mhapshekars is set to shine brighter. Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza laid the foundation stone for the beautification and illumination of Shree Bodgeshwar Temple, Mapusa, on Sunday in the presence of top state leaders. The temple holds a special place in the hearts of Mhapshekars, deeply rooted in their faith, traditions and cultural identity, and is considered the guardian deity of the town. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Joshua said the project aims to enhance the temple premises and illumination, adding to the surroundings of this cherished landmark while preserving its spiritual importance for generations to come.
The project will include aesthetic lighting, improved premises and visitor-friendly infrastructure, especially for the lakhs of devotees who throng during the annual Bodgeshwar Zatra.Present were Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade Tourism Minister and MLA of Porvorim Rohan Khaunte Hon’ble MLA of Saligao and GTDC Chairman Shri Kedar Naik, Managing Director of GTDC Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, and members of the Shree Bodgeshwar Temple Committee.
