Labour Minister Atanasio Monserrate Chairs 48th Goa Labour Welfare Board Meeting at Porvorim, April 22: Minister for Labour and Employment, Shri. Atanasio Monserrate, on Wednesday chaired the 48th meeting of the Goa Labour Welfare Board at the Secretariat, Porvorim. The meeting was held in the presence of Commissioner cum Secretary (Labour) Shri. Sandeep Jacques, Labour Commissioner Shri. Rajesh Ajgaonkar, and other board members. Speaking to officials, Minister Monserrate stressed on timely disbursal of benefits and expanding outreach of welfare schemes to workers across all talukas. The Board also discussed strengthening digital access to welfare services to ensure faster processing of applications.The meeting assumes significance as the state government has been pushing for improved social security coverage for Goa’s labour force, especially in construction, tourism, and industrial sectors.
