INDIA bloc ‘anti-national’, says Goa CM on women’s quota bill defeat
PANAJI: (Apr 19) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday branded the Opposition INDIA alliance as “anti-national” and “anti-women”, accusing it of deliberately sabotaging the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to deny political representation to 70 crore women.
Addressing a press conference in Panaji, Sawant slammed the Samajwadi Party (SP), Trinamool Congress (TMC), and DMK, calling them “family-run” parties that have consistently opposed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies over the years.
Goa BJP president Damodar Naik, MLA Deviya Rane, Goa Pradesh Mahila Morcha president Suvarna Tendulkar and others were present at the press conference.
