Run for Health, Run Against Stigma: Hundreds of Students Join 4th State Red Run at Goa University
Panaji: The Registrar of Goa University, Prof. Sundar Dhuri, on Sunday flagged off the 4th State Red Run – a 5 km run for college students – from the Sports Complex, Goa University via the Miramar Circle route.


Organised by the Goa State AIDS Control Society, Panjim, the event brought together enthusiastic students from colleges across the State.The run aimed to empower and engage young people as ambassadors to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, mental health, and other critical public health issues. Participants carried placards and raised slogans promoting healthy lifestyles and stigma-free awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dhuri lauded the initiative and urged youth to lead the fight against misinformation surrounding HIV/AIDS and to champion mental and physical well-being.Senior officials of the Goa State AIDS Control Society and Goa University were present.
