Rajasthan: FIR against 16 for religious conversion through monetary inducement
JAIPUR: (Sep 23) Sixteen people in Rajasthan’s Banswara have been booked following a complaint alleging that people were being pressured and offered inducements to convert religion, police said on Wednesday.
The complaint was lodged at Sallopat police station by Aditya Dindor, a resident of Makdichor village, they said.
The complainant alleged that people were offered Rs 1 lakh and Rs 25,000 every month for converting their religion, besides promises of selection in the civil services, a vehicle and other facilities.
