Congress launches 27-day ‘Goy Rakhonn Yatra’ in Goa
PANAJI: Sept 22 Opposition Congress on Tuesday launched its 27-day-long ‘Goy Rakhonn Yatra’ (Save Goa March), which will travel through all 40 assembly constituencies in the state.
As part of the exercise being carried out ahead of the assembly polls, scheduled to be held by March next year, several Congress workers conducted a march in the capital city of Panaji along with their leaders.
All India Congress Committee Goa desk in-charge Manikrao Thakare, co-incharge Anjali Nimbalkar, state Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Congress MLAs Altone D’Costa and Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Goa Pradesh Congress committee President Girish Chodankar, party’s local unit working president Sunil Kawthankar led the march.
