International Coastal Clean Up Day Held at Calangute Beach
Calangute: The International Coastal Clean Up Day was observed at Calangute Beach on Saturday morning, with volunteers coming together to promote cleaner beaches and protect marine life. The cleanup drive was organised by Lions Club of Calangute in collaboration with Village Panchayat Calangute, Lions International District 317B and the Indian Coast Guard.
Volunteers participated in the beach cleanup, collecting plastic and other waste as part of the initiative aimed at promoting clean coasts, healthy oceans and a cleaner tomorrow. The campaign also highlighted the importance of reducing plastic waste and encouraging community participation in keeping Goa’s beaches clean
