Western Naval Command Chief Calls on Goa Governor
DONA PAULA: Vice Admiral C.R. Praveen Nair, AVSM, NM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, called on Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Governor of Goa, at Lok Bhavan, Dona Paula on on Saturday The meeting was a courtesy call during which the Vice Admiral briefed the Governor on the role and activities of the Western Naval Command, with a focus on maritime security and naval operations along the western coast.Governor Raju welcomed the Naval Chief and appreciated the Indian Navy’s contribution to safeguarding the country’s maritime borders and its support to the civil administration during emergencies.

The two also discussed matters related to coastal security, synergy between the Armed Forces and the state government, and the Navy’s engagement with the people of Goa. Senior officials from Raj Bhavan were present during the meeting.Vice Admiral Nair’s visit underscores the strong coordination between the Navy and the Goa government in ensuring maritime safety and regional security.
