The Catholic Association of Goa Appreciates Girish Chodankar’s Initiative for Goan Pilgrims, Extends Birthday Greetings
Panaji: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to The Catholic Association of Goa, led by its President Mr. Cyril Aleixo Fernandes, for calling on GPCC President Shri Girish Chodankar and presenting him with a letter of appreciation in recognition of his efforts to raise the long-pending demand for establishing a Goa Niwas at Velankanni for the benefit of Goan pilgrims.
The Association acknowledged Shri Chodankar’s initiative in highlighting this important issue, which has been a longstanding aspiration of thousands of Goan devotees visiting the renowned pilgrimage centre at Velankanni. The delegation also extended warm birthday greetings to Shri Girish Chodankar and appreciated his unwavering commitment to addressing issues concerning the people of Goa.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee also welcomed the Association’s inclusive appeal for improved facilities for Hindu, Muslim and Christian devotees visiting pilgrimage centres across the country. Such a vision, rooted in equality, harmony and service, truly reflects the secular and inclusive ethos of Goa, where the welfare of people transcends religion, caste and political affiliation.
The GPCC reaffirmed that the Indian National Congress remains steadfast in its commitment to raising every issue affecting the people of Goa and will continue working tirelessly to safeguard the welfare, dignity and rights of every citizen.
