Basketball pole collapse: FIR against housing society’s maintenance agency for ‘negligence’
GURUGRAM: (Jul 22) A case of negligence has been registered here against the maintenance agency and workers of a housing society where a man suffered fractures in his spine after a basketball pole suddenly collapsed during practice, police said on Wednesday.
A 22-year-old basketball player Kartik Dalal sustained fractures in his spine at three places in the accident on Monday and is currently hospitalised.
The victim’s family and residents reached the police station and lodged a complaint, calling it a case of gross negligence rather than an accident.
