Goa Vikas Party to Contest Upcoming Assembly Elections, Open to Alliances

Goa Vikas Party (GVP) on Thursday has announced that it will contest the upcoming Goa Assembly elections after staying away from the last two elections due to a shortage of candidates. Party President Sarvesh Bandodkar said the party’s legal status remains intact after the High Court granted interim relief following the Election Commission’s de-listing proceedings.

Bandodkar stated that the party has significantly strengthened its organisational base and plans to field candidates in as many constituencies as possible. He also said the Goa Vikas Party is open to forming alliances with like-minded political parties ahead of the Assembly polls.
