GTDC Hands Over Rs 45.29 Lakh Dividend to Govt for FY 2024-25

PANAJI: The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has recorded a healthy performance for the financial year 2024-25, handing over a dividend of Rs 45.29 lakh to the state government. GTDC Chairman & MLA Kedar Naik presented the dividend cheque to Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at the Secretariat on Thursday in the presence of Tourism & IT Minister Rohan Khaunte.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded GTDC for its consistent contribution to the state exchequer and for playing a key role in strengthening Goa’s tourism infrastructure.

He said the corporation’s focus on upgrading properties, improving visitor facilities, and promoting new tourism circuits has helped boost both revenue and the overall tourism experience in the state.

Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said GTDC is aligning with the government’s vision of “Regenerative Tourism” by diversifying beyond beaches and promoting heritage, hinterland, and cultural tourism.

He added that the dividend reflects improved operational efficiency and better management of GTDC hotels, resorts and tourism facilities across Goa.GTDC Chairman Kedar Naik said the corporation has been working to modernize its properties and introduce new experiences for tourists while ensuring financial discipline. “This dividend is a result of teamwork and the support of the government. We are committed to making GTDC a profit-making and service-oriented organization that contributes more to Goa’s tourism growth,” he said. Officials said the dividend will be utilized by the state government for various developmental works. The handing over ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Tourism Department and GTDC.
