Director General NCC Calls on Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa

The Director General, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, at Panaji today.

During the meeting, the Director General discussed various initiatives aimed at strengthening and expanding the National Cadet Corps in Goa. The discussions focused on enhancing NCC infrastructure, expanding opportunities for youth participation, strengthening administrative support and further promoting the role of the NCC in youth development, leadership and nation-building.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister appreciated the significant contribution of the National Cadet Corps towards inculcating discipline, leadership, character and a spirit of national service among the youth of Goa. He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to supporting initiatives for the continued growth and expansion of NCC activities in the State.

The Director General was accompanied by Air Commodore Kamal Chadha, Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate Karnataka & Goa; Col C. Rajashekar, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Belgavi; and Captain Sumeet Sinha, Commanding Officer, 1 Goa Naval NCC Unit.

The interaction marks another significant step towards strengthening the partnership between the Government of Goa and the National Cadet Corps for the benefit of the youth of the State.
