Centre sanctions Rs 1,880 crore for four-laning of NH 66 stretch in south Goa: CM
PANAJI: (May 25) The Central government has sanctioned Rs 1,880.11 crore for the four-laning of the Cuncolim-Bendordem stretch of NH-66 in south Goa, including bypasses for Cuncolim and Balli towns, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Monday.
In a post on X, Sawant described the approval as a “landmark moment” for Goa’s infrastructure, stating that the project will help decongest urban areas, ease daily commutes and boost economic growth in the southern part of the state.
The chief minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.
