Goa revises tax for construction equipment vehicles

Goa: May 20 – Construction equipment vehicles in Goa will now attract an annual tax of 1% of the vehicle’s cost or a one-time tax of 9% of the vehicle’s cost at the time of registration. An amendment to this effect has been done to the Goa Motor Vehicles Tax Act by the state govt through an ordinance. The ordinance was promulgated by the Governor on May 12 and comes into effect from May 18.
