Goa Govt Opposes Bail Granted to Birch Club Directors in Fatal Fire Case
Mapusa: The Goa government has moved the High Court seeking to quash and set aside the bail granted by the Mapusa Additional Sessions Court to accused Saurabh Luthra, Gaurav Luthra, and Ajay Gupta in the Birch nightclub fire tragedy case registered by Anjuna Police. In its petition, the state has argued that the matter is extremely serious and sensitive, as the incident resulted in the loss of 25 lives, making the grant of bail to the accused directors unjustified. The High Court has issued notices to all three accused and scheduled the next hearing for June 15, marking a key development in the ongoing legal proceedings
