Goa aims to boost year-round tourism beyond beaches, says Minister Khaunte
GOA (Apr 27) Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on Monday said Goa is no longer limited to beaches and is working towards developing a year-round tourism calendar with festivals, cultural experiences and new segments to attract more visitors.
Khaunte said the state is expanding into new tourism segments, including wedding tourism, wellness and Ayurveda. In addition, sports tourism, culinary tourism and workation travel are also being promoted.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar in Jaipur, the minister said the focus is on positioning Goa as a global, all-season tourism destination.
