SFX School to Theatre Junction Road Lit Up: Siolim Locals Welcome New Street Lights
SIOLIM: The newly installed street lights from SFX School to Theatre Junction were inaugurated by siolim MLA on Thursday besides siolim MLA also present were Sandesh Hadfadkar, Deputy Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Marna-Siolim, Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer of the Electricity Department, and local residents.
The lighting of the stretch, a key road used by school students, commuters, and residents, is expected to improve safety and visibility during night hours. Locals had long raised concerns over poor illumination on the route, especially near school zones and pedestrian crossings. Speaking at the inauguration, the Deputy Sarpanch said the panchayat had prioritized the work following requests from residents.
Siolim MLA thanked the Electricity Department officials for timely execution and urged citizens to report any non-functional lights for quick redressal.
Residents welcomed the move, stating that the new lights would help reduce accidents and improve security for pedestrians after dark.
