SANKHALI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Thursday launched the “Health with Ayurveda #CheckedByDoctor 2.0” multispeciality Ayurveda health check-up camp at the Goa College of Naturopathy and Yogic Science, Sankhali. The camp marks the second phase of the state’s initiative to promote integrative medicine and preventive healthcare through AYUSH systems. Unlike routine OPDs, the 2.0 version offers multispeciality consultations — including Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Shalya, Shalakya, Stree Roga, and Bala Roga — under one roof, with qualified Ayurveda doctors
.Inaugurating the camp, Dr. Sawant said Goa is positioning itself as a wellness hub by combining modern medicine with traditional systems. “Prevention is better than cure. Through Ayurveda, we want to reach people before they fall sick. #CheckedByDoctor 2.0 ensures that consultations are done by certified doctors, not unverified practitioners,” the Chief Minister said.
Health Minister Rane said the camp will focus on lifestyle disorders, joint pain, diabetes, hypertension, and digestive issues. “We are seeing a rise in non-communicable diseases. Ayurveda and Naturopathy offer sustainable, side-effect-free management. This camp brings specialists to the people,” he said. Officials said Version 2.0 aims to double the outreach and add follow-up care. Registration is free and open to all age groups. Faculty and students of the college will assist in screening and awareness. The Directorate of Health Services and AYUSH Department are coordinating the drive. The Chief Minister also reviewed facilities at the college and assured support for expanding infrastructure for naturopathy and yogic science education in Goa.
