Mapusa: Two separate fires broke out in Mapusa late Friday evening, with the fire department responding promptly to both incidents. The first fire, reported involved plastic trays behind the new bus stand, while the second, affected dry grass near Mapusa yard. Mapusa Fire Station’s Shri Suraj Shetgaonkar led the firefighting efforts in both cases, ensuring timely control of the fires. The swift response from the fire services prevented any major damage or casualties.
