CM Distributes Compensation to Fair Price Shop Dealers Under PMGKAY
Ponda: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant distributed compensation to Fair Price Shop Dealers under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) at Agri Bazar Complex, Prabhu Nagar, Ponda. The event was attended by MLA Shri. Govind Gaude, Secretary, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Shri. Sanjiv Gadkar, IAS, and other dignitaries.
This initiative aims to support Fair Price Shop Dealers who have been facing pending dues. Earlier, Fair Price Shop owners had expressed concerns over delayed reimbursements, with approximately Rs 1 crore outstanding .
The distribution of compensation is expected to provide relief to the dealers and ensure smooth functioning of the public distribution system in Goa.
