Serendipity Arts Festival Returns to Goa With Its Landmark 10th Edition

Panjim, 9 December 2025 — Serendipity Arts Festival returns to Panjim, Goa from 12–21 December 2025 with its landmark 10th edition—a 10-day celebration of music, dance, theatre, food, visual arts, craft, photography, and immersive experiences for all ages. This December, Panjim will once again transform into a nucleus of creativity as the Festival brings together over 250 projects curated by more than 35 leading voices, uniting artists, performers, chefs, musicians, designers, and storytellers from across India and the world. For families, students, travellers, and anyone looking to discover something new, the Festival promises a vibrant and unforgettable cultural experience.

A Journey Across Cities: Ten Years of Serendipity

Marking its tenth anniversary, Serendipity Arts Festival has taken to the road—embracing a nomadic spirit that carries its celebration across cities and cultures. The journey began in Birmingham with Birmingham City University to present poetry readings, performances, and exhibitions at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire & Symphony Hall—bringing together creative communities across borders. In Ahmedabad, we collaborated with India Art Fair during Ahmedabad Cultural Week, celebrating the city’s vibrant artistic energy. Delhi welcomed Shaam-e-Ghazal against the striking backdrop of Safdarjung Tomb, an evening of ghazals with Sabhyata Foundation that honoured a decade of cultural celebration. In Varanasi, River Raag travelled from Goa’s shores to the banks of the Ganges, hosted at the historic BrijRama Palace—extending the festival’s reach to one of India’s most sacred cities.

Chennai hosted an exclusive evening celebrating art, philanthropy, and community. The event brought together leaders from business, culture, and the arts for a discussion. The evening concluded with a powerful performance by Uru Paanar. In Gurugram, with B-Side Sessions the Festival stepped into an alternate soundscape  that reimagined what electronic music can be: fluid, experimental, and rooted in South Asia’s evolving sonic landscape. With Dubai, the Festival steps into a region that has long served as a cultural crossroads, where contemporary art, heritage, and global ideas coexist in one dynamic ecosystem.

The road ahead made a stop to Paris, to eventually converge in Goa, where the festival will present its largest edition yet—a homecoming of sorts after months of wandering. This multi-city approach reflects Serendipity Arts’ core belief: culture thrives in movement, artistic exchange flourishes through travel, and transformation happens when we step beyond familiar boundaries to meet on new ground.

Reflecting on the journey, Mr. Sunil Kant Munjal, Founder–Patron of Serendipity Arts, said:

“As we celebrate ten years of Serendipity Arts, our vision continues to be rooted in the spirit of artistic excellence, collaborative exploration and cultural exchange. With every edition, we have sought to create spaces where art connects people, places, and ideas. Over this decade, we’ve witnessed remarkable impact—transforming 300,000 square feet of spaces in Goa into living canvases of creativity, supporting hundreds of emerging artists across South Asia. In today’s world, culture has never been more important. It builds empathy in an increasingly divided world, cultivates empathetic leadership, and teaches what education alone cannot—kindness, patience, and the ability to hold multiple perspectives. As we look toward our largest edition yet in Goa this December, we remain committed to the belief that culture is not a luxury—it is essential to human connection, and the thread that weaves our collective story.”

A Festival Rooted in Sustainability, Inclusivity, Accessibility

What sets Serendipity Arts Festival apart is the way it activates the entire city of Panjim. Instead of being confined to a single venue, the Festival unfolds across multiple locations that together form a cultural map of Goa. The Old GMC Complex hosts exhibitions, theatre, photography, and culinary projects within a heritage setting. A short walk away, the Art Park becomes a lively hub for live music, interactive installations, and family-friendly open-air performances. Along the river, the Festival Barge presents site-specific works shaped by the ebb and flow of the Mandovi, while each evening the Nagalli Hills Arena comes alive with large-scale concerts that transform Goan winter nights into an electric, festive atmosphere.

“Panjim and Serendipity Arts Festival have grown together over the past decade. What started as a bold artistic vision has become an integral part of our city’s cultural fabric. Panjim becomes host to the best from around the world, and we as people of Panjim support development through a cultural lens—revitalizing our public spaces, strengthening community bonds, and inspiring new ways of experiencing our city. We welcome artists, curators, and art lovers from across the world to experience the magic that happens when art spills into our streets, our heritage spaces, and the very heart of our city.” —Said the Mayor of the city of Panaji, Rohit Monserrate.

Designed with accessibility and inclusivity at its core, the Festival ensures that events are family-friendly that includes your pet, mostly free to attend, and spread across walkable, easily navigable routes with free festival shuttles running across the venues. Parents with children, senior visitors, student groups, and solo travellers all find the Festival comfortable, engaging, and diverse enough to plan multi-day visits. For many returning audiences, December Goa now feels incomplete without a few days spent exploring Serendipity Arts Festival’s offerings.

The 10th edition further strengthens Serendipity Arts Festival’s commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility. The Festival incorporates alternative water stations, biodegradable cutlery, and segregated waste management systems and invites visitors to contribute to these efforts by carrying refillable bottles and maintaining clean venue spaces. Workshops focused on sustainable culinary practices, children’s activities, and creative sessions for individuals with special needs reflect the Festival’s belief that culture must grow responsibly. Most venues are equipped with ramps or wheelchair access, and volunteers are available at all locations to support visitors with differing needs.

Festival Hygiene & Visitor Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors, the Festival reminds attendees to follow essential guidelines. Guests are encouraged to park responsibly and make use of the shuttle service to reduce congestion around venues. Free drinking water is available at all locations, and visitors are advised to carry refillable bottles; those who purchase bottled water are requested to dispose of it in designated bins. First-aid facilities are present across venues, and the Information Desks are equipped to assist with any immediate needs.

Volunteers and art guides are stationed at the Registration Desks at every venue to help visitors navigate the Festival. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all venues. Most projects are free to attend with a simple registration, and tickets can be conveniently booked through the Festival’s website or the app. While limited tickets may be available at venue help desks, visitors are encouraged to book online in advance to secure their spots and avoid queues.

About Serendipity Arts Festival

Serendipity Arts Festival transforms 300,000 square feet of iconic buildings and alternative spaces into South Asia’s premier multi-disciplinary cultural platform. Spanning visual, performing, and culinary arts alongside film, live arts, and literature, the Festival challenges status quo relationships—between art and viewer, city and citizen, proscenium and audience. Working within these dialectics, we foster conversations that strengthen cultural ecosystems and create human channels spreading impact across regions and generations. Having proven that cultural placemaking can transform cities, the Festival operates as a nomadic structure designed to adapt to any city and any stage. This cultural experiment supports artistic practice while demonstrating how culture cultivates empathetic leadership, teaches kindness, and builds the foundation for a safe, healthy, and progressive society.
