DRUG PEDDLER NABBED IN CALANGUTE, 2.08 KG GANNJA SEIZED
Calangute, November 23, 2025: In a significant operation, the Calangute Police Station team, led by PSI Saieel Vaigankar, arrested Shri. R Bharath, a 23-year-old resident of Andhra Pradesh, for being in illegal possession of 2.080 kgs of ganja worth approximately Rs. 2,08,000/-.
The raid was conducted near Helipad, Sinquireim, Candolim, Bardez, Goa, based on credible information received by the Calangute Police Station. The team, comprising PC 7484 Yogesh Bordekar, PC-7394 Peter Fernandes, PC-8334 Pritesh Kinlekar, and PC 8602 Abhishek Gawas, seized the narcotic drugs in the presence of panchas.
A complaint was filed by PSI Shri. Saieel Vaigankar, and an offence was registered under the provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985, by PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar. The investigation is underway under the supervision of PI Shri. Milind Bhuimbar, Police Inspector, Saligao Police Station, and the overall supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Shri Vishwesh Karpe, and SP North, Shri. Harishchandra Madkaik.
