MAJHE GHAR YOJANA: CM SAWANT DISTRIBUTES FORMS, BRINGS HOPE TO THOUSANDS
Margao, Goa – In a significant move, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant distributed forms under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana to beneficiaries from Margao, Fatorda, Navelim, and Curtorim constituencies at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The event was attended by PWD Minister Shri. Digambar Kamat, Art & Culture Minister Shri. Ramesh Tawadkarr, MLA Navelim Shri. Ulhas Tuenkar, and MLA Curtorim Shri. Reginaldo Lourenco, among other dignitaries.
The Mhaje Ghar Yojana aims to provide housing security and ownership rights to long-time residents, particularly those living on government or community lands without legal ownership. The scheme is expected to benefit nearly half of Goa’s population, with over 11 lakh people set to gain from it.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing and land rights to the people. “Our government is dedicated to ensuring that every Goan has a roof over their head, and this scheme is a significant step towards achieving that goal,” he said.
The distribution of forms was followed by a ceremony where the Chief Minister and other dignitaries addressed the gathering, highlighting the benefits of the scheme and urging beneficiaries to avail themselves of the opportunity ¹ ² ³.
The Mhaje Ghar Yojana has been hailed as a landmark initiative, addressing long-standing housing issues and promoting social stability and economic empowerment. With this scheme, the government aims to make Goa a model state in terms of housing security and urban planning ⁴.
