GOA GOVT HONORS IISc PROFESSOR DR SAI GAUTAM GOPALAKRISHNAN WITH PRESTIGIOUS MANOHAR PARRIKAR YUVA SCIENTIST AWARD 2025
The result of the Manohar Parrikar Yuva Scientist Award 2025 is out. The award has been bestowed on Dr. Sai Gautam Gopalakrishnan Associate Professor of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, where he leads a research group in computational materials science.
This was the 3rd edition of this prestigious award. Applications were received from top research institutes across the country. There were 50 applications received, out of which 10 were shortlisted for personal interview and after intense scrutiny by an Expert Committee headed by Dr. Anil Kakodkar the final recipient was selected.
This award is a one of a kind initiative of the Government of Goa launched to motivate young scientific minds in Goa and across the Country to excel in Science and benefit humanity at a large scale. The award comprises of Rs 5 lakhs and a citation, which is currently the highest cash prize in science and technology in the country.
The award will be presented at Manohar Parrikar Vigyan Mahotsav at NIO in December-2025
