” Unidentified Body Recovered, In Merces Investigation Underway”
Merces: A grim discovery was made on Thursday when the Goa Fire Service personnel retrieved an unidentified body from the Manas near Merces. The body was handed over to the Panaji Town police, who promptly initiated an investigation.
Following a panchana
ma at the site, the police sent the body to the Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim for preservation. The GMC has sought consent from the relatives of the deceased to conduct a post-mortem examination and determine the cause of death.
The police are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the deceased to come forward and assist with the investigation.
