Mamata faction steps up campaign to familiarise voters with new ‘football player’ symbol

KOLKATA: (Sep 23) The Mamata Banerjee-led faction of the Trinamool Congress has begun a campaign in Rejinagar seat to familiarise voters with its new ‘football player’ symbol, asking party office-bearers, cadres and elected representatives to circulate the logo and the faction’s new interim name ahead of the October 6 bypolls.

The symbol places the football player at its centre, surrounded by the words ‘Mamata All India Trinamool Congress’ in white against a blue background. Saffron, white and green have also been incorporated into the design.
