100+ Sanad Certificates and 20-Point Programme Documents Distributed under Mhaje Ghar Scheme
Underground Cabling Works Inaugurated in Betalbatim, Majorda, Utorda and Calata, Strengthening Power Infrastructure

Panaji, September 3, 2026: A major push towards stronger household security and essential infrastructure was marked in Nuvem Constituency today, with the distribution of more than 100 Sanad Certificates and 20-Point Programme documents under the Mhaje Ghar Scheme at Panchayat Hall, Verna, followed by the virtual inauguration of underground cabling and electricity infrastructure across Betalbatim, Majorda, Utorda and Calata. The initiatives are aimed at regularising eligible houses while improving the reliability of electricity infrastructure for local communities.


Improving security of tenure for families, more than 100 Sanad Certificates and 20-Point Programme documents were handed over to eligible beneficiaries under the Mhaje Ghar Scheme, supporting the regularisation of houses and providing families with greater security of tenure. The underground cabling and electricity infrastructure was virtually inaugurated for Betalbatim, Majorda, Utorda and Calata to replace existing overhead networks and strengthen the reliability of power supply across the four locations.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said, “The distribution of 100+ Sanad Certificates and 20-Point Programme documents under the Mhaje Ghar Scheme will help regularise houses and provide families with greater security of tenure. He added, “The distribution of 5,000 water tanks will contribute towards strengthening water security for households across Goa.” CM Dr. Sawant also congratulated the youth felicitated for their achievements in Science, Fashion and Tourism, saying, “Their dedication and accomplishments are a source of pride for Goa, and we remain committed to nurturing their talent and aspirations.”
Strengthening community resilience while recognising local talent, 5,000 water tanks were distributed to households, with the distribution led by MLA Shri Aleixo Sequeira. The programme also featured the felicitation of young achievers for their accomplishments in Science, Fashion and Tourism. CM Dr. Sawant appreciated the contribution of MLA Shri Aleixo Sequeira towards the underground cabling works and commended the achievements of the felicitated youth, reaffirming the importance of supporting their talent and aspirations.
The programme was attended by MLA Shri Aleixo Sequeira, MLA Shri Ulhas Tuenkar, Sarpanchas of various Village Panchayats and officials of the Electricity Department.
