Greek swimmer Apostolos Siskos won silver in the 200-meter backstroke final at the European Swimming Championships in Paris.
Hungary’s Hubert Kos took gold in 1:53.08, Siskos came second in 1:53.81 and Italy’s Thomas Ceccon won bronze with 1:53.96.
Siskos, who is 21, had come second in the same event two years ago in Belgrade.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis congratulated Siskos on his medal in a social media post later Wednesday.
