CM Pramod Sawant Launches Mukhyamantri Bahujan Utkarsh Yojana, Distributes Loan Waiver Certificates in Panaji
Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant distributed Gruha Sudhar assistance orders and Loan Closure/No-Dues Certificates to beneficiaries under Loan Waver Scheme at a function organized by Goa State SC/ OBC Finance & Development Corporation Ltd at IMB, Panaji.
On the occasion, CM announced the 𝐌𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐭𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐚, under which education loans will be given to students.
Minister for WRD Shri Subhash Shirodkar, Minister for Social Welfare Subhash Phal Dessai, Director, Social Welfare Shri Dipak Desai, Chairman SC/OBC Dev.Corp. Ltd, Dayanand Mandrekar, MD SC/OBC Dev.Corp. Ltd Dipesh Priolkar, Members of Board of Directors and beneficiaries attended the function.
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr. Sawant announced the launch of the ‘Mukhyamantri Bahujan Utkarsh Yojana’, a new scheme aimed at providing education loans to students from SC, OBC and other Bahujan communities to pursue higher and professional education. He said the scheme is designed to ensure that financial constraints do not come in the way of meritorious students fulfilling their academic aspirations
Speaking on the occasion, Social Welfare Minister Shri Subhash Phal Dessai said the new education loan scheme will open doors for Bahujan students to access quality education in India and abroad. WRD Minister Shri Subhash Shirodkar also congratulated the beneficiaries and assured continued support from the government for welfare initiatives.
