St. Andrew’s HSSC Toppers Felicitated in Grand Ceremony in Vasco
VASCO: The academic excellence of St. Andrew’s Higher Secondary School was celebrated with pride as meritorious HSSC students were felicitated during an Inaugural Mass and Felicitation Ceremony held on the school premises.The event was graced by Transport Minister, Shri Mauvin Godinho, His Eminence Most Rev. Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, Vasco MLA Shri Krishna Daji Salkar, along with the school management, teachers, parents and students.The ceremony began with an Inaugural Mass led by His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, who blessed the students and urged them to use their knowledge and values for the betterment of society. He emphasized the importance of discipline, faith and service in shaping young minds. Addressing the gathering, Mauvin Godinho lauded the achievements of the toppers and commended the school management and teachers for nurturing talent.
He said that students who excel academically must also become responsible citizens who contribute to the growth of Goa and the nation. The Minister assured continued government support for quality education and infrastructure in schools. Krishna Daji Salkar, MLA Vasco, congratulated the students and their parents for their hard work. He noted that institutions like St. Andrew’s play a vital role in building the future of the state by producing dedicated and capable young people.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of HSSC meritorious students who secured top ranks and distinctions.
They were honoured with certificates and mementos by the dignitaries present.Speaking on behalf of the school management, the Principal expressed gratitude to the guests for their presence and reiterated the school’s commitment to academic excellence and value-based education.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by cultural performances by students.
