Goa sees 6.8 per cent rise in arrival of tourists by rail in first five months of 2026: Govt
PANAJI: June 30 Goa recorded a 6.8 per cent increase in tourist arrivals by rail during the first five months of this year, with nearly 20 lakh visitors arriving in the coastal state, according to official data. A statement issued by the state tourism department on Tuesday stated that 19,87,862 tourists arrived by rail, compared to 18,60,568 during the corresponding period in 2025.
The arrivals also marked a 6.5 per cent increase over the same period in 2024, indicating sustained growth in rail travel to the coastal state, it said.
