Goa cops bust inter-state gang, nab five from Maharashtra with stolen gold rings
Calangute: June 28 Goa Police have apprehended five members of an inter-state gang from neighbouring Maharashtra and recovered 15 of the 16 gold rings allegedly stolen from a jewellery shop in Candolim village, an official said on Sunday.
According to the FIR registered at Calangute police station on June 26, unidentified persons stole 16 gold finger rings from the shop in Candolim before fleeing the spot.
Police said technical surveillance, coordinated field operations and assistance from the Crime Branch helped establish the identities of the suspects and track their movements.
