MAPUSA, 2026 Quick action by the Mapusa Fire Station averted a potential mishap on Tuesday after a massive mango tree was found dangerously tilted near New Vision Hospital, Duler-Mapusa, at 11:05 am. Fire personnel, led by Leading Fire Fighter Prashant Shetgaonkar, rushed to the spot after locals alerted authorities about the precariously leaning tree.

Given the hospital’s proximity and heavy pedestrian movement in the area, the fire team immediately cordoned off the zone and began safe removal operations.No injuries or property damage were reported. Hospital access remained unaffected due to the prompt response.
