Goa to get Rs 2,000 cr maritime projects, water metro: Sonowal
PANAJI: (Jun 26) Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday announced that the government plans to bring in projects worth Rs 2,000 crore to boost Goa’s maritime sector and launch a state-of-the-art water metro system.
The Union minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the new Captain of Ports building in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
“I would especially like to thank the Goa government. From our ministry’s side, we have decided to bring projects worth Rs 2,000 crore to promote the maritime sector in Goa in the coming days,” he said.
