On Goa Revolution Day, Kejriwal condemns detention of anti-project protesters
PANAJI: (Jun 18) AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday paid tributes to freedom fighters on the occasion of Goa Revolution Day and accused the ruling BJP of using the same dictatorial practices as the Portuguese to suppress people’s voices.
Kejriwal, along with his party’s Goa in charge Atishi Marlena, state president Valmiki Naik and others, paid respects at the Martyrs Memorial at Azad Maidan in Panaji.
Goa Revolution Day is celebrated on June 18 to commemorate a public meeting held at Margao in 1946, during which freedom fighter Ram Manohar Lohia gave a clarion call for liberation.
