CM Pramod Sawant Holds Janata Darbar in Sankhali, Assures Swift Redressal of Public Grievances
Bicholim, Goa — Marking another round of direct outreach, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant engaged with citizens from across the State at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, on, saturday to hear and address their issues and grievances firsthand.The Janata Darbar saw residents from multiple talukas meet the Chief Minister without prior appointments, putting forward concerns ranging from waterlogging and drainage to road repairs, housing, and implementation of government welfare schemes.
Speaking to the gathering, Dr. Sawant reiterated the government’s commitment to “governance at the doorstep”. He directed officials present at the venue to take immediate note of genuine grievances and ensure time-bound resolution. “Every citizen’s problem matters. Departments must work in coordination so people don’t have to run from office to office,” the CM said.
Several cases were resolved on the spot with on-the-floor instructions to the concerned departments, while others were marked for follow-up by district administration and line departments

The Sankhali Janata Darbar is part of the State government’s ongoing outreach to strengthen citizen-government connect and ensure transparency in grievance redressal. Similar sessions have been held across Goa in recent months to bring administration closer to the people.
