Ponda Police Chase Down Chain Snatchers, Arrest Duo Within Hours

Ponda: In a swift operation, Ponda Police apprehended two alleged chain snatchers accused of robbing a woman of her gold mangalsutra in Old Goa on Wednesday afternoon. According to police, the suspects fled towards Ponda on a motorcycle after committing the theft. Acting on information received from Old Goa Police, a police team launched a pursuit and intercepted the accused in the Tisk-Usgaon area. Assistant Sub-Inspector Laxmikant Naik, Siddhesh Gawas and Police Constable Sai Mandrekar were part of the team involved in the operation. The accused were subsequently handed over to Old Goa Police for further investigation.
