Monsoon Art for Awareness: Rangoli on Malaria, Dengue Prevention Unveiled in Goa*
*Panaji:* As the monsoon nears, a local artist has used rangoli to spread awareness on vector-borne diseases under the National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme in Goa.
The rangoli, themed on monsoon preparedness, highlights simple steps to prevent malaria and dengue — including avoiding water stagnation, using mosquito nets, and early detection of symptoms. The artist said art is being used to connect with communities before the peak transmission season.
The initiative by artist aims to reinforce door-to-door surveillance and source-reduction drives across the state.
