Eid ul-Azha celebrated with religious fervour across Goa

Panaji: (May 28) The Muslim community across Goa  observed Eid-ul-Azha or Bakrid on Thursday, gathering in large numbers at mosques to offer prayers.

Elaborate security arrangements were put in place and other districts to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful Eid celebrations, officials said.

Thousands of devotees turned up at mosques and Eidgahs since morning to perform namaz and celebrate Bakrid, the festival of sacrifice.
