Siolim MLA Inspects Ganeshpuri-Marna Road Beautification Works, Pushes for Timely Completion

Siolim: Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo on Wednesday inspected the ongoing road beautification work along the Ganeshpuri to Marna stretch, reviewing progress and directing officials to ensure quality and timely completion of the project. The MLA was accompanied by Siolim-Marna Dy. Sarpanch Sandesh Hadfadkar, Panch members William Fernandes, Amit Morajkar, and Abhay Shirodkar, along with officials from the Electricity Department including the Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer, Junior Engineers from PWD Roads, and local residents.During the site visit, the MLA reviewed the progress of civil works, street lighting provisions, and allied infrastructure along the busy stretch. She discussed various technical aspects with department officials to address bottlenecks and speed up execution.“

Upgrading this Ganeshpuri-Marna road is crucial for both locals and tourists. Proper beautification, safe pedestrian space, and reliable street lighting will improve road safety and enhance the overall look of our constituency.

We have asked all departments to work in coordination so the work is completed without delay,” the MLA said.

Dy. Sarpanch Sandesh Hadfadkar said the panchayat is closely monitoring the project. “This stretch sees heavy traffic daily. Once completed, the beautification will reduce congestion, improve drainage, and provide better infrastructure for residents and visitors,” he said.Officials from the Electricity Department and PWD assured that utility shifting and road works will be expedited. Local residents who joined the inspection welcomed the initiative and requested proper maintenance once the work is completed.The Ganeshpuri-Marna road beautification project is part of the broader infrastructure upgrade being taken up in the Siolim constituency.
